A growing success story over the years.

It was in 1955, in Victoriaville, Quebec that Mr. Jacques Canin founded VIC Steel Store Equipment. His main market at the time was the Quebec restaurant and hotel sector. At the time there were some ten employees who worked in a plant with a floor size of 24,000 s.f.

To complete its line of services, the company began to make its own metal furniture in 1959, creating a 2nd company in the process.

In 1966, the two companies merged and as a result the current company, VIC Store Fixtures Inc. was born.

Uniquely focused on the Quebec market until that time, the activities of the company began to expand into the rest of Canada, starting in 1977. A national network was quickly developed that same year. This was achieved with the help of regional offices in four Canadian cities, an occurrence that greatly boosted the fledgling company's volume of business.

In 1987, a 2nd metal furniture plant was built, leaving the first operation to make wood, aluminium and glass furniture.

At the beginning of the 1990s, the founder's two sons, Fabrice Canin and Domynique Canin took over the leadership of the family business, the first as president and the second as vice-president responsible for research and development.

In 1999, just prior to the dawn of both a new century and millennium, VIC Store Fixtures began to make its first entries into the American market, becoming a business partner of a chain of pharmacies enjoying full expansion.

In 2002, another plant expansion took place to meet growing production requirements. The company now boasts a manufacturing space of some 112,500 square feet.

Today
VIC Store Fixtures has a workforce of over 150 employees of whom more than 100 are in the manufacturing area. It has its own engineering department, creators and designers and together they oversee the development of new and specialised products. A multi-disciplinary team also attends to the company's sound management applications.

VIC Store Fixtures’s client base has become increasingly diversified over the years and now represents several sectors of the retail business across Quebec, Canada and the United States.
